Karis is 4. YES, my baby is FOUR! What better way to celebrate then by throwing her a UNICORN party! I let her pick her theme this year and was not at all surprised when she wanted unicorns! Balloons, Unicorns, face painting, a jumper, and bracelet making! What else does a 4 year old need??? Here are some photos from the party and all the details!
Summertime is JUST around the corner and you will find me and my family at the beach all season long! My new accessory this year, a growing baby bump! Finding a flattering swimsuit is hard and I have fully embraced the “suns out, bumps out” motto! Baby need some vitamin D and she will be getting it thanks to Beach House Swim!
Click HERE for my swimsuit from Beach House Swim! It is the cutest swimsuit AND doubles as active wear for outside of the water! Can you say PERFECT for chasing the kiddos around??
I would love to know what YOUR favorite summertime activity is! Leave me a comment and let me know!
The end of the school year is just around the corner; can you believe it??? Karis is wrapping up her first year as a big ol’ preschool kid and her teacher has sure made a impact on her (a REALLY good one, don’t worry!) Karis has loved every minute of school and is so sad to hear she has to take a break in the summer. So how on earth do I thank her teacher for all she has done?? I have teamed up with Snapfish to show you all our end of the year gift for Mrs. Jamison.
Snapfish is always my go to for personalized gifts, and this time was no different. They make it easy and affordable to customize and turn an ordinary gift into something special! I am a big sucker for a cute gift basket; who isn’t???
Here is what’s in our end of the year teacher gift basket…
A personalized hardcover journal with “Mrs. Jamison” on the front and “It takes a big heart to help shape little minds.” on the back. You are able to make the journal say whatever you want, and I thought that quote was just the sweetest!
Personalized Stationary I thought this was a perfect gift to add to the basket since Karis’ teacher is always sending out little notes to her students.
A personalized “thank you” card. Mainly because I thought putting Karis’ face on a card was the cutest thing ever! Her teacher will totally think the same, right?!?!
A few extra goodies were chocolate, chapstick and a little plant! Some other ideas would be a coffee gift card, your teacher’s favorite candy or snacks, or a cute water bottle they can use in the summertime!
This is such a small token of gratitude for all that teachers do for our children all year long! I know she will love the personalized touches and thoughtfulness that was put into it! If you love this idea for a teacher, or even to get a gift for a graduate in your life please use code YAYGRAD for 40% your order at Snapfish.com!
This is a sponsored post in paid partnership with Carmex
Winter lips are no joke around here! All of our lips get super dry in the winter and it does NOT help that cold season is going around, making our lips even worse! That is why I am loving Carmex for the entire family!
Who else has a car lip balm, a purse lip balm, a bedside lip balm, and a bathroom lip balm?? I DO! I literally keep it every where for whenever we might need it!
Here are some of my families personal favorites that I know your family would love to!
My husband is loving the classic stick. It is super easy to slide in his pocket, or keep in the car and it provides long lasting moisture and keeps lips hydrated so he doesn’t have to be applying it all day!
My kiddos love the Daily Care flavors. So many yummy flavors, their personal favorites are Daily Care Wintergreen. According to Karis, if you lick your lips they taste good too! (Whatever you say kid!) I love Daily Care for them because it features SPF 15. Their second favorite is Carmex Comfort Care Mixed Berry, is has 100% natural ingredients (so it’s totally okay that they are eating more than they are putting on their lips, right??)
Did you know that cold sores are the most common in the winter? This is for all types of different reason, including heightened stress levels (cough cough Holidays), the cold and dry weather, and an increase in the flu. Emphases on the flu! This flu season is INTENSE! There is no for sure way to prevent a cold sore outbreak BUT there are steps you can take to reduce the likelihood of them showing up. TRY and lessen your stress. Easier said then done, trust me I know! Take the basic precautions to guard yourself against the cold or flu. Wash your hands, drink plenty of water and clean your phone screen and keyboard regularly. SO many germs on your phone! AHHHH And if you still feel that telltale tingle, no worries, Carmex® Cold Sore Treatment has got your back!
We are keeping our lips soft and kissable this winter and all year long thanks to Carmex!
Help! Flu season is here and with Karis in preschool this year she is brining home ALL the unwanted germs! I am trying my best to keep our hands washed and my kiddos healthy but the snot noses are bound to come! I am LOVING Dr Brown’s for creating a true life saver! Nose and Face Wipes coming in for the win! Wiping a child’s face all day long can seriously dry out their sensitive skin. These wipes moisturize as they wipe AND dissolve mucus. I am going to call that a win, win. Not only that but Karis actually loves using them. She knows they make her feel better and she even asks for them. I keep a pack in my baby bag at all times, and one in the bathroom for when we are home!
BUT WAIT, there’s more! The Dr Brown’s Nose and Face Wipes are not only useful when the kiddos have runny noses, they are also great for every day use! My girls are MESSY. I am wiping food, dirt, and mystery items (yikes) off their little faces all day. Insert Nose and Face Wipes here…
So for sick days, and every other day, I am loving these wipes so much and I hope you all have a pack or TEN ready to roll!
My family and I kicked off our Christmas season with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge! We headed there the weekend after Thanksgiving, also the weekend they were kicking off Snowland! Let me tell you, it was pure MAGIC. Three year old and one year old mind blowing magic! The snowland activities included, snow in the main lobby all throughout the day, a holiday themed story time every night (followed by snowfall of course!), Santa’s arrival and photos with the man himself, Christmas cookies and hot cocoa, Christmas carols sung in the lobby (how did you guess?? Followed by snow fall!!), a Christmas tree and garland in our room, the BIGGEST real gingerbread house you will ever see, a fully decorated lobby, and THE best way to start our Christmas season!
Snowland was just the smallest taste of all Great Wolf Lodge has to offer, we spent two wonderful nights and I am SO positive Karis could have spend two years! She asks every single day when we will be going back! The water park was a huge hit for every one of us. It was something we all enjoyed, even Bexley! Karis and I loved the lazy river, who doesn’t??, Eric loved the wave rider, and Bex loved the shallow kiddy area with all type of hands on activities! It is also fully indoors and they keep it at a very comfortable temperature so no matter the weather outside, it is bathing suit weather at the water park! How fun us that???
BUT WAIT, there’s more! This place is NOT just a water park! There is a 24 hour arcade, a miniature bowling alley, a place to stuff your own stuffed animal wolf or other critter, a glitter tattoo station, interactive scavenger hunts, several restaurants and places to get treats, a dance party, forest time friend show, story time and character appearance every night, a Dunkin’ Donuts (WIN!), A candy shop, ballon twisting, face painting, crafts, and the cutest gift shop!
We ended our visit with a Character breakfast (buffet style!). Karis was SO excited to get unlimited pancakes and meet all the characters. Violet the wolf was her favorite. I’m sure Bexley will like the characters next time, but for now she stuck with the unlimited food option. ONE last waterpark session (because we HAD to!) and then we hit the road.
Thank you SO much Great Wolf Lodge for one of the most fun family vacations we have ever had! We will see you SO soon!
(We visited the Southern California location, make sure to check out their website to find the location nearest you!)
It’s that time of year again! Family photo time! This year we busted out the tripod and headed to a park! Tripod shoots stress me out more then anything! We win some we loose some! We got ONE with everyone looking at the camera and smiling and I would say thats a big FAT win! Here are some of my favorites this year! Make sure to scroll ALL the way to the bottom for a Snapfish 40% off coupon!
We went with Snapfish this year for our Christmas cards. The quality is SO good and I was sold when I saw the beautiful gold foil! There are SO many cards to pick from on their website and there is still time to order before Christmas!
Don’t forget to use code ASHLEY40 for 40% off your cards from Snapfish. HURRY though, 18 days until Christmas! No body panic!!!
It’s Christmas time! My favorite time of the year! Finding all the perfect gifts though, not my favorite time of the year! Every year I feel like the kids stocking ends up filled with a whole lot of junk they don’t need! This year will be different! I am so excited to fill their stockings with practical, and still totally fun Dr. Brown’s items! Here are a few Santa will be stuffing in Karis and Bexley’s stocking this year…
1.Baby’s First Straw Cup My all time favorite cup for Bexley! The weighted straw and handles make it super easy for her to use, and the lid keeps it clean in my baby bag!
2. Insulated Straw Sport Cup This cup is my favorite for Karis. Perfect for a older toddler (Karis is 3 and a half) I love the lid to keep it clean and I also love that it is insulated. I add a little bit of ice before we go out and it stays cold while at preschool, or running errands!
3. Long Spatula Spoons I feel like I can never have too many baby spoons in my house! I personally love these ones because of the flat end. It is great for wiping good off the babies mouth while they are still eating purees and then great for cutting food into smaller bites when they have moved to solids.
4.Flexees This teether is the perfect size for little tiny hands to hold. They are also very durable!
5. Coolees I am a sucker for a cute teether, therefore this will for sure makes its way to the stocking this year! Not only is it totally cute it is freezer safe and meant to hold in the cold to really help sooth sore gums.
6.Nawgum I love the shape of this teether. There are so many different places for your baby to hold on to and chew on. Perfect for all stages of teething!
7. Nose & Face Wipes These are a must in the baby bag! I feel like I am wiping both kids faces all day long. These wipes are gentle on faces and get the job done!
8. Infant-to-Toddler Toothbrush Set Karis HATES brushing her teeth. This elephant toothbrush makes it a little easier. It is gentle and the toothpaste is all natural and safe to swallow.
9. Baby Lotion Filled with all natural ingredients and doesn’t leave a greasy feel. Another baby bag must!
Christmas errands can be so very fun and so very stressful! Am I right?? This year I am brining my UPPAbaby VISTA along for the craziness! (If only the stroller knew how lucky it was! haha) Mama is loving this new stroller, and the girls are totally loving their new ride! Christmas time means a lot of running around. Each day is a new store, a new gift to buy, another grocery store visit or another ugly Christmas sweater party. I personally love the busyness, but it can get pretty tricky with kiddos involved! This stroller came just in time. Finding a stroller that the kids feel comfortable in, love to be in, and will hang out in for long periods of time without complaining is a must in my book! I have found that in my VISTA for a few different reasons…
I love the many different seat configurations! Some days my girls love each other, those are the days I face them toward each other so they can laugh and have fun. Other days, not so much. No worries, those are the days I will face them out! If one is needing a little extra mama love one can even face me while I push the stroller!
The stroller sits up high, making it feel so much more manageable while pushing it around tight stores. Since the back seat is so high the second seat can sit in farther, this cuts back on the length of the stroller. Cutting the length = making me feel like I’m pushing a stroller and not a bus. WIN!
This stroller has A HUGE basket for storage! This is so important in my opinion! Baby bag, snacks, toys, shopping bags, groceries, bring it on!
My girls are defiantly known to be napping on the go. I love that both of these seats are able to recline for a comfy cat nap! There is nothing better then having two comfy, sleeping girls while mama can get some errands done in peace!
The last thing that I absolutely love about this stroller while out and about is the extendable sunshade! There has been so many times we are out taking a walk, or partying it up a Disneyland and the sun in blasting right in somebodies face. Even the normal sun shade can’t block the sun sometimes. The extendable sunshade is a lifesaver!
I hope you are all finding ways to survive the season and make it one to remember! I am trying my very best this year to take in every moment instead of getting caught up in the stress of it all! UPPAbaby VISTA is just one way I am making my Christmas season a tiny bit easier!
Okay, now comes the time when everyone RUNS to add the UPPAbaby VISTA to your Santa wish list ASAP!!!
Sometimes Christmas shopping is totally fun! When you know exactly what the person wants, it’s in your price range, and you can buy it online! That’s perfect right there! BUT when you have no clue what to buy it can just get frustrating,
IncrediBundles.com is filled with themed baby and children gifts in ALL different price ranges! We went with the bath time theme and it include a hooded bunny towel, and bath toys! Some other ideas are a book bundle, a diaper bundle, toys for different ages, sleep bundles and so many more! To top it off it comes in a really nice box with a bow! No wrapping on top of all this amazingness??? I’m hooked!
Here are a few of my favorites that I think would make such a great gift this year…
